Photography is one of my many hobbies. I spend too much time on it albeit never enough.

I have always had a keen interest in photography. Some would say it's in the genes.

I am a recent convert to digital photography. Going "digital" has allowed me the freedom to capture fleeting moments in time. It has acted as the catalyst to learn the technical aspects of photography (the easy bit) and on composition, the "art of presentation", and the ability to see the final image (the difficult bit).

I like all types, kinds, and shades of photography. Strangely, my newly kindled interest in photography has led me to consider taking more traditional, film - based, images as well. I currently own a film SLR but both medium format and rangefinder cameras are next on the radar.

People often ask me which gear I use to capture my images. In short, it does not matter. The ability to capture and present an image to the viewer is much more important. Cameras are mere tools that assist in the process.

I would add that "workflow" is a more important, and integral part of the image presentation process. It existed in film days and exists today. I would personally prefer to work on a computer rather than with chemicals though.
